1 out of 5 stars Very inappropriate reading for 9 - 13 year olds...from an 11 year old.   August 7, 2010
Hi I'm 11 years old and I decided to write this review for all those parents who are giving their children the permission to read these series. So here it is!!! I stopped reading this book because I realized how inappropriate it is for 9 to 13 year olds. The characters are not 12 years old, but more like 16 year olds, so I don't understand why the editors would label this book good reading for my age group. The story line did not make sense and was not exciting at all. Also there was too much inappropriate conversation for us to read. It was soooooo gross!!! All this kissing and romance. Yuck, Yuck,Yucky!!!!. This book would really make my mother cringe if she knew I started reading it!!! I wish I had looked at the reviews on Amazon first before getting this book.

1 out of 5 stars Did not like this book at all !!!   July 24, 2010

I'm 10 years old and this is my fist time reading this book . I don't understand why 12 years old girls have to be kissing and lying. It's so bad that 9-12 year old girls have to read this nonsense about white lies. The way this book ends makes no sense to me. It's doesn't flow with the words. Even Barbara Parks author of Junie B.Jones books writes better. I prefer Junie B.Jones books than Canterwood Crest for my age group.

5 out of 5 stars Daughter loves this series   May 20, 2010

My daughter is 11 and loves to read this series. She has horses, but I'm sure it would be great for any girl who is into horses, even if they don't have their own. Actually, I think she likes the drama more than the parts about riding anyway!

3 out of 5 stars Good, but frustrating.   March 18, 2010

This book was as good as the rest of the series. But it was majorly frustrating and I'm hoping that the characters figure out their problems in future books. The book after this was very depressing because she had no friends and was by herself. Not to ruin this, but beware. This book is really really good. But its very depressing and frustrating and it has a lot of drama.

But its really good and has an exciting plot and you couldn't put it down!! :) ~ Joannah

2 out of 5 stars So Many Lies   February 10, 2010

I did not really like this book. I believe it is encouraging readers to tell white lies. She is really bad in this book, and it is inappropriate. Wy would a respected writer write something like this? I love the Canterwood Crest, but I have little respect for this single book. At least have a discussion with your daughter before letting her read this.
